NC Lieutenant Governor Candidate Forum
TARS escorted candidates into the forum and passed out programs to guests in January.
2020 NCTARS Convention
NCTARS gathered from across the state, although it was nearly one month late due to COVID-19, to participate in the annual convention at the NCGOP HQ in Raleigh. With speakers such as Students for Trump Founder Ryan Fournier, NC Supreme Court Justice Paul Newby, NC Senator Jim Burgin, and NC Lt. Gov-elect Mark Robinson, the NCTARS members left educated and passionate to continue fighting daily in their districts to re-elect Republicans and stand up for what they believe in.
Politicking During a Pandemic
NCTARS joined with the NC College Republicans and NC Young Republicans in the months of social distancing guidelines that kept Americans isolated in the months after the March outbreak to prevent the spread of COVID-19. Although everything was shut down nationwide, our commitment to electing Republican candidates was not. Utilizing Zoom and one another virtually, all three organizations were able to complete tens of thousands of phone calls on Days of Action hosting candidates and speakers organized by the three organizations throughout the spring and summer.
Air Force One in Wilmington
Brunswick TARS and NCTARS Vice-Chairman Tucker Coombs witnessed President Trump alongside top aides Kayleigh McEnany and Mark Meadows land and depart from Air Force One while meeting with NC Lieutenant Governor-elect Mark Robinson and NCGOP Chairman Michael Whatley on the tarmac as President Trump addressed them and thanked them.
Defend the Police Rally Downtown Raleigh
NCTARS joined protestors downtown around the State Capitol to protest the violence against police officers happening during the summer of 2020, yet at the same time stand together appalled by the unjust death of George Floyd months prior.
Greenville Trump Rally Summer 2020
Pitt County TARS members Carlton house and Chair Hunter Jennette along with others supported President Trump for his second journey to Greenville since 2018 before the 2020 election
Judge Fred Gore and Mark Robinson Dinner
Harnett and Brunswick TARS were active volunteering at the Republican GOTV Dinner with Mark and Fred. They both were elected to office in 2020, so we can thank Tucker and the Brunswick team for all their hard work and volunteer fundraising efforts!
Diamond and Silk Meet-and-Greet
Brunswick TARS are at it again! They organized volunteers to go to the Diamond and Silk event for our Republican candidates across NC like Thom Tillis. They got to meet modern conservatism's favorite iconic duo and hear Lara Trump speak!
2020 Weekly State-wide Canvass Efforts
From the mountains to the coast, NCTARS members volunteered on campaigns to doorknock and phonebanks like no other year before. Some TARS hit 200 doors per week for President Trump, others made up to 3,000 phone calls per weeks for several months helping out Senator Tillis. We delivered NC for President Trump, re-elected Senator Tillis, turned the conservative minority of 6-1 in the NC Supreme Court to 4-3, elected the first black NC Lieutenant Governor Mark Robinson, along with countless other victories. It could not have happened without the efforts of TARS members and their dedication throughout the pandemic of 2020.
